If It Doesn’t Sell, It Isn’t Creative

Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality.

Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. If your product is not unique or different from what people are  used to, then there will be no interest and nobody will buy into it. Having the same routine, seeing the same things doing the same things over and over again will eventually result in boredom.

Every product for instance goes through a life cycle,it has the  introduction stage, growth stage, maturity stage and the decline stage. Every producer knows that at the decline stage, there is a need for rebranding. This is so because people with time would have exhausted the benefits derived from the product and lose interest in the repeated experience.

In the same way, people have seen the same things being done over and over again, so when they approach you, it is because they expect to see something different, a fresh ideas and when you succeed in standing out among your peers, then you are in business. This client by word of mouth will increase your sales and your fame would spread faster than wildfire.

Creativity is not a reserve for a peculiar caliber of individuals , we have the Thomas Edisons who are into doing the ‘big stuff’ but there are other ways of being creative. Everybody can be creative as long as the right question is asked; How can I make this better? or how can I do this differently?

Theodore C. Levitt, a Professor of Marketing defines Marketing as

“a tightly integrated effort to discover, create, rouse and satisfy customer needs.”

In order to sell, you must identify needs of your target and you cannot do so without doing things differently thus creativity.

Every organisation should conduct a market research in order to identify the needs of their target and satisfying that need and creating an emotional bond between the service and the customers. Your main objective is to create a relationship and not just offering a product or service for a fee.

Innovation and creativity should be every organization’s priority. In other words, every organisation should be open to new ideas from staff and offer training in creative problem-solving including mind-mapping, brainstorming and lateral thinking that would equip all staff members in the creative thinking process.

Indes Procom provides a wide range of services including, Digital Media, Web  Design and Development, Print Communications of all kinds, Brand Management and you will agree with me that this requires fresh ideas always in order to retain and increase our clientele because we wouldn’t want you to see your design being used by another brand. This is what a creative brand stands for; having that creative will to be unique and stand out among your competitors; being the benchmark.
